I am a meteorologist with 17 years of forecasting under my belt and I would dare offer an opinion based on all the modeling I have made or used. Any "day to climate" scenario , while very interesting to explore, will offer monumental challenges at the transition of scale, both temporal and geographical.
The complexities associated whether with the mathematical modelling or the processes themselves will offer valuable epistemological clues and indeed, deep philosophical insights regarding the application of science and most important, the limits of science itself. One doesn't need to deal in stories about "dark matter" or the magic of the "teleconnection patterns" to understand the limits of science as well as the transcendent aspect of science.
In this matter it's the road that matters much more than the final result as an application. In the end.. science is just another language.
Congratulations for having the courage to keep your scientific and moral integrity.
I will follow your work with utmost interest. In the end.. science, like most things, is non-linear and unexpected results come from unexpected corners. A continuous play of inspiration and revelation.
All the best to you !
